Tolerance

Tolrance-the ability or willingness
to allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of something,in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.

A way that I can be more tolerant is by not saying anything that comes to mind when I hear a certain race or religion. An experience I had with less tolerant people was when my aunt came out that she was gay and her mom didn't accept it so she moved out and she wasn't invited to a lot of family events. This showed me to accept people and not let there sex and things like that from me excluding that or discriminating, and especially in family.

I Hunt Killers Blog Post One

I have started a new book it is titled I hunt killers by Barry Lyga. So far I really like it. The main character is a teenager so the way he talks is relatable but then again it isn't cause every one is different. The reason that I chose this book was because I read the back of the book and this guys hunts killers, so this reminds me of one of my favorite shows "Dexter". This show reminds me of this book because the show is about a cop that hunts down murders and kills them.

So the book starts off introducing you ti=o the main character, Japser Dent. then it explains that he is belly down hiding in high grass in a field. But what he is doing here is checking out a crime scene. Then he explains on how his dad had tough him to cover his tracks and not to get spotted. Then he talks about the body that he found and how it was missing pieces but cops found them around the body and the cops start to wrap up the scene. That is were I left off

Conflict
I know I already did conflict but I would feel my life incomplete if I hadn't told you this. It's actually kind of funny because what happened was that the Beatle before had a drummer named Pete Best. And apparently he was to popular among the fans (girls) so the Beatles wanted him out. John later recalled that " we were all cowards" because they had gotten there manager Brian Epstien to get rid of him. He was also deported from a Germany for nailing a (something I can't say in my blogs) to a wall and lighting it on fire. That also probably played a role in him getting removed from the band.

Summary so Far
So so far in the book I have gotten to the part were the Beatles have gotten their big break. First they auditioned in a place with a bunch of other bands. One of the people there remembered that they "Blew everyone away". They then got an offer for a tour in Scotland but turned it down because the manager didn't want one of the band members. Then they eventually went on a tour in Scotland as a back up band. That is were I left off.

Character Analysis
John Lennon- John Lennon's most noticeable trait is being a leader. This is played a big role in the formation of the Beatles. Why you ask, because if he was't a leader he wouldn't have been able to get a group of talented people together. But he was also a good leader because he cared deeply about his band. He got them book at their very first gig in the town fest. They later played in pubs and met Brian their producer. But anyway he managed to functionally lead his group and made famous. He also kept them together through tough times. Like When there producer Mike Epistein died they were all very bummed because he did so much for the Beatles The Beatles did end up breaking up but that was John Lennon's wife fault because of the high tension that she was causing in the group.

Conflict.
A Major Conflict that is happening doesn't really involve the whole group. What happened was that John Lennon ended up in a really bad depression. Even though he was super rich and had fame he still got depressed. This happened around the time that the Beatles were filming the movie "Help". He are a lot and also drank a lot. But worst of all he would smoke large amounts of marijuana. He gained a lot weight. He got out of this depression eventually with the help of his wife Yoko Onu and the support of his fellow band mates.

Character Analysis
Paul McCartney Young- Paul was a very confident kid. I'm pretty sure he was when he was older but I still haven't gotten there yet. But anyway the reason I say this is because of the way that he got into the band. A kid that was on John Lennon's band from when they were younger introduced them. In the book it said that Paul wasn't bothered or intimidated by them. So when he met them it said that he was back stage with the older boys and without hesitation he picked up the guitar and asked John Lennon " Mind if I play". Paul said sure and his skill level was so great that in the book John states "I couldn't take my eye off him". Paul was so good because he was a vey smooth singer and he could hit every note and tone. Paul could also play much more notes than most of the other boys including John. This worried him because he was afraid that he would show John up and take control of the band. But Paul still joined after Paul asked him to and the band was still the same just with one more talented person in his band.

Theme
So far I couldn't really see a clear theme but if you look closer the you can spot a couple. So far I have spotted one main one. That one is; don't let tragedy hold you down. The reason that I say this is cause of the are that young Beatles met and where there career took off. This are was called Liver Pool. During the second world war this city was a strategic bombing area due the amount of port this city had, this made it a big military target. So it seemed that almost every day they were being bombed. Ringo Star says that he remembers seeing gaping areas where house should be but instead he saw pile of ruble. But this did't hold these young Beatles down course they would soon be one of the world biggest legacy. But this is also due to the vibe the city gave out. John recalls that people from liver pool tend to be funny and that there accent made a simple sentence sound like a punch line. Not to mention the great taste in music and all the wide variety of different cultures and the music they had brought music to add to the wide variety that there already is.

Blog Post 5

So far I have started a new book and It is similar to the one that I was reading because the last one one mostly about John Lennon. The one that I am reading about now is about The Beatles, The title is "Yeah Yeah Yeah". This book really caught my eye because of the cover. I know people usually say "don't judge a book by it cover" but all the other books looked really boring and weird and my other choice was only like 30-40 pages.

The book intro was good because it talked about the book how the Beatles were a legends and what was to come in the book. Then it switches over to the begging of the Beatles which is like the official first chapter. So so far in the book it starts out saying how John Lennon was born during a Nazi air raid. Then it goes on to say how he had met Paul McCartney. They had met in a town festival. When they first met Johns band was performing and they had met backstage. Then he joins the band cause of his talent. Then it goes on too explain the culture of Liver pool and the musical vibe cause of how badly the relentless German Bombing left it. That is where I have left off so far.
